So they don't have to take your word for itBooking backup for hosts

Anyone renting online in Uruguay has one real fear: transferring the deposit and finding the place doesn't exist, or isn't the one in the photos. Adjectives in the listing don't fix that.

Booking backup is a management service you hire. If a confirmed booking at your place falls through because you didn't deliver, temporada steps in: we find the renter another verified, equivalent place and mediate — and if we can't relocate them, we refund 100% of what you paid for the service.

What we commit to

  1. We relocate: we actively look for another verified property of equivalent features and price, subject to availability.

  2. We mediate: we work between both sides so the deposit comes back. The duty to return it is the host's — the money never passes through temporada.

  3. We refund our own fee: if the relocation doesn't happen, we return everything you paid for this service.

What this service does NOT do: it does not cover the deposit or any damages, and it is not a policy. temporada does not process anyone's money — what we offer are obligations to act, and the full scope is in the service terms.

Read the service terms

First, it sets you apart: in a list of similar houses, the one with reservation backing is the one stepping forward. It's a signal that's hard to fake — whoever gets it is saying they'll take responsibility if something goes wrong — and that's why houses with backing take more simultaneous bookings and rank higher.

What if everything goes well and I never use it?

That's the logical question. And the answer is: even better. If you're the host who follows through — and you are — the backing almost never kicks in. You're not paying it against a risk of your own: you're paying it because it's the hardest-to-fake proof that you're a good host. And while nothing happens, it still works for you: it sets you apart and takes the fear away from whoever's about to send the deposit.

It's a one-time payment: you get it once, by transfer, and it doesn't renew or expire.

With a week or more, verification is on us

If the backing you choose covers 7 nights or more, the first in-person verification of that place is free. Guests see both together: that you are committed to the booking, and that someone from temporada went to check the place is as you show it.

How the rest is paid

The renter only transfers the deposit. The rest is paid on arrival, in person — like the key handover, which we recommend doing face to face.

There's no commission here: there's a host who paid once to make their house more credible.
